Género e historia del trabajo (Aproximación a sus paradigmas historiográficos) (página 2)

Un estudio comparativo de las experiencias de los
movimientos feministas, sus discursos y sus luchas en el Caribe,
Estado Unidos y Europa permitiría establecer sus
semejanzas y diferencias así como sus aportaciones
metodológicas y conceptuales a la construcción del
género como categoría analítica. De igual
modo, asumiendo como noción epistemológica que las
categorías como los conceptos no son estáticas y
universales, resultaría necesario, en sintonía con
las transformaciones económicas en el contexto de una
economía global, analizar qué nuevas
categorías de análisis, además de
género, clase y raza pueden ser utilizadas para estudiar
la experiencia histórica de la incorporación de la
mujer al trabajo y los discursos construidos en relación a
otros sectores sociales. Así por ejemplo, Chandra Talpade
Mohanty coincide con la propuesta de Anna G. Jonasdotir sobre los
intereses comunes de las mujeres trabajadoras inmigrantes. La
misma tiene como premisa que el sujeto inmigrante desarrolla sus
propios intereses independientemente de sus condiciones de
trabajo y de su identidad nacional o de raza. En esa perspectiva
podría ser una categoría universalista como se ha
planteado con respecto a clase. Si bien es cierto que las
perspectivas de análisis histórico se ampliaron con
el uso del género, la clase sigue siendo útil como
categoría de análisis, y en ese aspecto estudios
históricos sobre la estructuración del
género al interior de la clase en formaciones sociales y
modos de producción específicos resultarían
pertinentes. Un estudio al respecto podría ser cómo
se construyen los discursos de clase, género, raza y
trabajo en el contexto de una economía
dependiente.
